DISPUTE RESOLUTION

As private individuals we all potentially face numerous situations throughout our lifetimes which may result in irreconcilable disagreements. The issues involved are wide-ranging and may include property and motoring disputes, health and finance-related problems and matters relating to goods and services.

Your dispute may be with another person, a privately owned company or a public body. It may result from dealings with a local authority, school, hospital, or other organisation or concern professional advice which you consider has been negligently given.

Whatever the nature of the dispute and the status of your adversary it is important to seek clear guidance at the outset concerning your rights and remedies. An in-depth discussion at an early stage can often lead to a situation where minimal future action will be required in order to achieve an acceptable result.

Litigation can be a costly and protracted process with no guarantee of a satisfactory outcome. At GRM we believe that it should be a last resort and we are proud of our ability to avoid litigation when a negotiated settlement, mediation or alternative dispute resolution can achieve the same or a better result.

However, where going to court is the only way forward, we will pursue that course with determination and with an eye to cost-effectiveness.

We have expertise in all the major litigation specialties, so whatever the nature of your problem all decisions will be informed by sound legal advice appropriate to your particular circumstances.
