Neil Spurrier
Head of Department
Neil is a partner in the Property team specialising in property litigation.
He has extensive experience of both contentious and non-contentious property work and acts for corporate and private owners in the management and purchase of commercial, agricultural and residential property. His expertise includes landlord and tenant and dilapidation disputes, the Technology and Construction Court, rent review and building arbitrations and the granting of new leases under various security of tenure provisions. He has also been a Deputy County Court District Judge.
Neil is involved in charitable work having been chairman and now board of trustees member of his local Home-Start, the national support charity for parents with young children. Neil also sits as a lay member on the Appeals Panel of his local Education Authority

Michael Palmer
Partner
Michael is a member of the Property team and specialises in commercial and residential conveyancing.
In addition to the more straightforward areas of property expertise, he has extensive experience of a wide variety of problems arising from landed and residential estates including enfranchisement. He is actively involved in the managing and letting of estates and other property.
He obtained his degree from Southampton University and was then articled to Gregory, Rowcliffe & Co before becoming a partner in 1978.

Robert Harmer
Senior Property Assistant
Bob is a senior property assistant dealing with domestic conveyancing and associated work.
He started work with GRM in 1967 and worked in the areas of Private Client and Tax before embarking on his present role within the firm in 1972
Over the years, he has gained a high level of expertise in all aspects of property work and is a key member of the property group.

Richard Poole
Consultant
Richard is a Consultant within the Property team. He deals with commercial property work especially leases, acquisitions and disposals and landlord and tenant matters – acting for both landlords and tenants
He obtained a law degree at Clare College Cambridge and has since worked in the property sector over a number of years. He was a Partner in Gasters and Simmonds Church Smiles before their amalgamation with Gregory Rowcliffe Milners in 1999.

Gemma Fresacher
Assistant Solicitor
Gemma trained with GRM and is a member of the property department and the firm’s Anglo German and Anglo Italian groups. She is also currently developing a specialism in gambling law assisting Chris Harper.
Gemma graduated from Bristol in Law and German in 2003, having spent one year as a "Referendar" in two German law firms, in Munich and Augsburg respectively. Gemma went on to complete her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Guildford joining GRM in April 2005. Her languages include German and French.
